Day 1 and 2, the Flight to Bangkok

Tuesday Morning December 5th ET to Thursday Morning December 7th Bangkok time.

My plane trip started at Columbus Ohio (CMH), which stops at Doho airport in Qatar with a final destination of Bangkok, Thailand (BKK).

In Columbus I had a pleasant check in with Joy and with the TSA precheck I've had another pleasant experience with US security. It did cost $100 to bring a second piece of checked luggage.

CMH to MIA Flight Status

scheduled departure: 6:35 am and arrival: 9:23 am 

actual departure: 6:32 am and arrival: 9:07 pm

Flight time: 2 hours 5 minutes.

 I decorated my pocket journal during my extensive layover in Miami. If you didn't already know, I usually have a book or journal to take notes in and one or more pens and/or pencils on me. 

MIA to DOH Flight Status

scheduled departure: 7:40 pm and arrival: 5:30 pm (ET +8)

actual departure: 7:49 pm and arrival: 4:54 

3:40 am doha time to 5:30 pm. 13:23:00

Flight time: 13 hours 23 minutes.

I meet a new friend, Saurav, on the plane from Miami to Doha. He has a really cool, ganesha, ohm, shiva tattoo. We talked about my Kali pendant and I told him about the amazing Maa Kali temple in Pattaya. He and his wife were off to India from Doha and I was going to Bangkok Thailand. I hope he stays in touch as he was very nice and gave off great "vibes" if you know what I mean.

DOH to BKK Flight Status

scheduled departure: 8:10 pm (ET+8) and arrival: 6:40 am (ET + 12)

actual departure: 8:11 pm and arrival: 6:36 am

Flight time: 6 hours 26 minutes.

After arriving to the airport in Bangkok, I walked to one end of the airport only to discover that immigration was moved to the opposite end of the airport. This year the line was incredibly longer and slower than it was last year. A wheel was busted on one of my luggage bags and it was difficult to drag it through the airport. AEW was waiting for me and took me to the condo where I was index finger printed to access the secure building. AEW took me to the room and let me rest while she went to work. However, she took the tablet with my internet access and didn't bring it back because the condo has wifi ... if she had given me wifi password. She got upset when I wasn't answering her phone calls when she stopped working for the day. But it was because I didn't have internet ...
