Visa extension

December Tuesday 26th, 2023. We stayed at a small resort last night so we would be close to the immigration office. On the way, we were stopped by 2 trains. Then we stopped to see Aod, AEW's brother, at the Nakhon Pathom Provincial Police Station. We had a wonderful time with AEW's brother then we stopped at the Nakhon Pathom Immigration office.

This is where the day took a bad turn. AEW and I have been discussing my need to get a visa different from the standard tourist visa I have. We went to the immigration office to discuss my visa options. I do not know what AEW told them, but they gave her a 30 day visa extension from. I tried to tell her that was not the right form but she said they needed the information before we discussed what type of visa I qualify for. After a lot of back and forth and not listening to me I was told to pay for the 30 day visa extension. I have done my research and I know I qualify for the 1 year non-immigrant visa. It is renewable every year and is needed for a marriage or retirement visa. She did not want to discussion getting the correct visa and said we were done and leaving.

As far as I know, the situation now requires me to fly out of Thailand for at least 1 day to receive a new stamp. Afterwards I will reach my 90 day limit to visit Thailand and will be unable to return for a year. This means if AEW's American visa is approved, then she will need to travel alone to the United States.

On top of that she forced me to drive back to Bangkok when I made it clear I did not want to drive. When we got back to Bangkok, I dropped her off to pick up her car and I drove Mint's car back to the condo. However, AEW had the key with her. So I could not lock the car, start the car if I turned it off, not leave the car to use the restroom.

Overall a terrible experience. 1 star ⭐
